Name: Santa Marija Caves

Max Depth: 18m

Access: Boat

Diver Level: Open Water and above

Description:

Located on the east side of the island of Comino, the Santa Marija Caves is a popular second or thrid dive of the day as it offers shallow depths and longer bottom times.
One big attraction here is the sheer amount of fish to be found on entry, as they are nor shy of divers because they are used to a bite of bread! Good photo opportunity.
The caves themselves are unique in that you can swim from one side righ through to the other with some amazing views out into the blue. A torch is recommended.

Beware boat traffic during the summer months as the tourist boats from the Blue Lagoon use this as one of their stops on the cave tour of Comino, so no surfacing inside the caves!
