The course is designed to train you to have commendable diving skills, positive attitude, sound rescue skills, professional level of general diving knowledge, dive supervision and organisational abilities in the safe use of open circuit diving with no decompression to a maximum depth of 40 metres.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
Working closely with a RAID Instructor or Instructor Trainer, in this program you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. During the RAID Divemaster program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You will complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems as well as help others improve their diving. You put this knowledge into action through a structured program and series of practical training exercises.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH MY CERTIFICATION?
As a RAID Divemaster, you’ll be an ambassador of RAID, as such divers around the world will look at your diving ability with envy. As a RAID Divemaster you are also an Assistant Instructor, these levels are included in the core program.
After becoming certified as a RAID Divemaster you will be authorized to:
Supervise both training and non-training-related activities by planning, organizing and directing dives.
Assist a RAID Instructor during the training sessions for any RAID diver course you are qualified in.
PREREQUISITES for the Practical Training To be a minimum of 18 years old.
To be a certified diver for at least 6 months.
Have a minimum of 25 logged hours using open circuit.
Submit certification for RAID Open Circuit Master Rescue Diver and/or equivalent. Per request of the Instructor; demonstrate all skill related to previously completed levels.
To submit Navigation, Night/Restricted Visibility, and Deep certificates (of which at least 5 hours are between 27- 40 m) and/or equivalent.
Submit a current Rescue Breathing/CPR Training and Oxygen Provider certificate (DAN/equivalent).
