It's the best way to utilise your time to get as much time in the water as possible. Not only will we train you and progress your personal diving skills, you'll assist with courses, guiding and the day to day operations at the dive center.
You'll become part of a tight knit Team, who will offer you guidance and train you to become a high level of PADI Divemaster, so that if you choose to, you can continue on to find work as a PADI Divemaster, or take the next step to becoming a Scuba Instructor.

For three months of your time, you can live the dream.

Below, Becca & Oli give their accounts of their PADI Divemaster Interships.

The summer I became a PADI Divemaster in Malta - Becca

I spent 3 months with New Dimension Scuba in Malta and never looked back! As a PADI Rescue Diver who was studying my first year of Marine Environmental Studies I was keen to progress my career in diving. As I had never travelled abroad on my own before and was on my part time job budget, I was keen to find somewhere friendly and supportive, English speaking and in Europe. At New Dimension Scuba I found all of this. The owners Kelly and Toby were supportive from the minute I enquired and bent over backwards to find me accommodation and make sure they could help me out with everything from picking me up from the airport to sending me lots of information about Malta.

Arriving in Malta for the first time I had the warmest induction (that included donuts, do I need to go on?). Kelly and Toby's passion and experience with adventure is infectious. They got us diving their favourite sites as soon as possible, like the world famous Um El Faroud. Toby and Steve, our instructors, gave us the highest quality teaching and taught us the read around our PADI Divemaster course material, pushed us to the next level and made us question everything. Kelly taught us to go to the next level with the business of diving and customer service. I really came away from the summer wanting to take myself to the next level, but confident in all the skills I had learnt. Kelly, Steve and Toby's relaxed attitude that puts the clients first helped us learn in a dynamic environment that meant if I was struggling on a part of the course they would go out of their way to make sure I didn't just get it, but I knew it. Even now I feel they are still there supporting me and am always grateful. Malta is such a beautiful country with lots to do and it  is easy to get around. The people are warm and friendly and the community is safe. The diving is next to none, which makes it's the perfect place to learn as you'll never get bored from World War Two wrecks to dramatic underwater arches and visibility for days. Malta really values and invests in diving, so all the dive sites are easy to access, but so beautiful to get to. From the access from traditional fishing boats, to ancient villages to Popeyes Village (I've never been to any other dive site where the Mission Impossible theme is blasting at you while you are putting on your wetsuit in 35 degree heat!).

My summer in Malta and my PADI Divemaster Internship was the best experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Since I have been back to visit to dive and can't wait to get out there again soon. The experience gave me the confidence to help out at my University dive club, become a PADI Instructor and inspired by Toby to start technical diving. I have dived and taught around North Wales, Scotland, Egypt and the Maldives and have yet to find a better centre. My next adventure is off to work as an Instructor in Iceland. I feel like a trip to New Dimension Scuba in Malta to warm up may be overdue…….

"Enjoy relaxing? Love those long lie ins? Look forward to wrapping up in front of the fire on a cold evening? Then maybe you should stop reading. However, if you want a real challenge, to improve your diving to level you didn’t know possible and want the chance to start a diving career in the presence of some of the world’s most popular diving spots, then you might be cut out for a PADI Divemaster Internship at New Dimension Scuba.

The diving at New Dimension Scuba was great, I found my skills came on no end, and so by the end, I wasn’t just a good Divemaster, but a good diver with superior skills, knowledge, and experience than most of my current Divemaster colleagues.  The quality of teaching was excellent, with a constant push not just to pass, but to be among the top instructors and divers. And I didn't just achieve my PADI Divemaster, I also gained my PADI Tec 40 and my PADI Sidemount Diver, all included as part of my personal development. Since I have finished the course, I have found my diving taking me places I never considered. In just the last 6 months I have been working as a PADI Divemaster in the UK, have completed my PADI Assistant Instructor and EFR Instructors courses, and with skills outside of diving have recently been offered a position leading marine biology researchers in Honduras. It’s a lot of hard work, but if you are willing to put in the effort I would recommend it to anyone who seriously wants to be a dive professional or just improve their diving".

So, if you fancy a challenge and want to take the next step, drop us a message and we'll give you all the details.
